Grammy Winning Latin American Bands Embark Their Signature Sounds On a 10-city Co-Headlining Tour

 

Between Aterciopelados and Los Amigos Invisibles are 4 Grammys, 5 Nominations and countless record charting songs and albums. Redefining a genre of Latin Alternative rock; the two iconic bands joined together for the first time to embark on a nationwide tour that kicked off at Sony Hall in New York City in April and ended at Center Stage in Atlanta in May.

Aterciopelados, originally from Colombia, are defined by their music that resonates deeply within themes of nature, feminism, diversity and vivid storytelling of stories, struggles visions, lights and shadows through the lenses of man and woman. Led by Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago they are considered on of the most important and dynamic duos to hit the Latin American alternative music scene. Their accolades well respectably earned them Best Alternative Album at the 2018 Latin Grammys with their latest album Claroscura.

Los Amigos Invisibles hail from Venezuela and are known for their blend of Afro-Funk, Disco, Acid Jazz and Latin rhythms. Formed now by Julio Briceño (vocalist), Juan Manuel Roura (drummer) and José Rafael Torres (bassist), Los Amigos Invisibles have been continuously praised for their energetic live shows that have been presented worldwide for a history of 12 albums, across more than 60 countries.
