I can’t believe it’s already the third week of presenting amazing cinemagraphs from all around the internet! Creating them has proven to be quite addictive for me and as I did last week, there will be some of my work sprinkled in here as well. For those of you that are new to cinemagraphs, they are simply photographs with repeating or looping motion. A still image that contains an element that is moving! It comes in the form of a gif file, but they are not “gifs” (if done correctly anyway). For me, a cinemagraph has to incorporate an element that should be in motion but is still, as well as the element in motion. If everything that looked like it should move was moving, it’s just a gif or an animated picture file. Although they were first created around 2011, a lot of people still have not seen many cinemagraphs. Who knows how big this will get, but I have fun making them and I think they are pretty dope!

I’m kicking off this week’s set with a cinemagraph I did with rap artist Black Punk. I also played around with a clip from Alexx Mack‘s music video for “Bad”, and threw in one I did in Central Park. I really love Sherif Mokbel’s work and the skier one from Travel Alberta is really, really good. Here are your amazing cinemagraphs for the week of 04/25/16!
