DIGITALISM LIVE AT GOOD ROOM IN BROOKLYN

One thing I love about New York – the diverse artists that stop through the big apple. Digitalism brought a unique set to Good Room and I honestly loved it. Digitalism is a German electronic duo formed in Hamburg in 2004. They have played big festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, South by Southwest, and Ultra Music festival. The have remixed popular tracks by Daft Punk, Tiga, Cut Copy, Boys Noize, and Justice. Good Room is located in Greenpoint, a pretty laxed event space with tons of room and places it sit.

If you haven’t seen Digitalism before, they have an LED setup behind them made up of strips that form cubes. The effects change from song to song but the LED strips will go anywhere from solids to strobe effects. I’ve never seen such a simple yet mesmerizing set up and it truly worked for them. Their music is very upbeat and some of the songs include live vocals.

Since this was my first time seeing Digitalism, I did not have an expectation of their crowd. The crowd for this event was actually very interesting —  mostly European decent, which was honestly surprising to me (although makes sense since they are from Europe). Everyone was dancing and super energetic – I swear some people literally did not stop moving.

If you have a chance to catch Digitalism (they only have tour dates overseas at the moment), I recommend. It’s a very fun upbeat show that will definitely be a unique performance you can’t get anywhere else. Check out the playlist below to check out some of their popular tunes.
