An incredibly powerful release due to content and the context in which its been release, Big Sean has released “Deep Reverence” posthumously featuring Nipsey Hussle. Still an incredibly tragic loss in the music world, the heaviness that surrounds hearing the rappers features are also encapsulated by stories of troubled childhoods, the current heightened political state, police violence, squashing feuds with fellow rappers, depression, anxiety and even the loss of a child. A heavy piece thats met with ultimate optimism and hope that can stem from dark situations.

With thee announce of their newest album “Ohms” since 2016, the alternative metal band also released their first track + music video by the same name in anticipation. A long awaited comeback; the single does not disappoint. Intrinsically Deftones, met with enough variant surprises to keep listeners excited for the new era to come.

[+] Ricky Reed Feat. Leon Bridges & Kiana Ledé – Better 

Legendary Producer Ricky Reed has released his debut album ‘The Room’ today which features numerous amounts of incredible features from Lido Pimenta, St. Panther, Dirty Projectors and more. The entire album deserves a play through but we picked one just to get you sampled and settled in.

[+] Russ – Throne Talks

Back to his independent roots, Russ has been releasing a song a week which was the musical habit that put him on the map. A favorite hip-hop artist in the game today, “Throne Talks” is a feel good song that combines catchy melodies and relatable lyrics. Additionally, he has also been a big advocate and supporter of #BLM, donating $500k (alongside Kidsupper) to ten black-owned grassroots organizations.

[+] Psychedelic Porn Crumpets – Mr. Prism 

Hailing from Perth, Australia, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets bring us another track as chaotically good as their band name. “Mr. Prism,” alongside its claymation new video, features a wildly experimental blend of psych-rock their known for. This track is full an audible and visual journey.

[+] Aluna, KAYTRANADA, Rema – The Recipe

Having 3 standout artists on one track could be a risk, but “The Recipe” blends the talents of all three features seamlessly. Aluna, who released her first solo record ‘Renaissance’ today, provides her sultry vocals over a hypnotic KAYTRANADA beat that leads way for the perfect laydown for Nigerian artist Rema.

Chicago based dream-pop group Divino Niño have released their latest single “Made Up My Mind” which lands on the softer, slower and jazzier side of their sound. An ode to returning and surrendering yourself to a prior love after experiencing the world without them, this track can hopefully bring you back to someone special after a few spins.

[+] Haiku Hands Feat. Sofi Tukker – Fashion Model Art

Australian dance-pop trio have teamed up with notorious electro-pop duo Sofi Tukker for this track which also debuted with a new music video. This song needs no further explanation than it being at the top of our list for getting a dance party started.

I had to put Nas’ new album. A living legend and one of the greatest rappers of all time…that’s all I have to say. Just spin this record.

[+] Toni Braxton Feat. H.E.R. – Gotta Move On 

The Queen of heartbreak ballads, Toni Braxton returns with a new album and leading single “Moving On” featuring a current prodigy of the love song persuasion, H.E.R. The song is nothing less than the expected journey down a heart wrenching love gone wrong.

[+] Black Pumas – I’m Ready 

Black Pumas release the deluxe version of their outstanding debut album today. With it comes 3 previously unreleased tracks. In true spirit to the Grammy Nominated – Best New Artist group, the song captures their unique but otherworldly blend of soul, psychedelic and alternative rock. They have also released an incredibly entrancing live session music video for track “I’m Ready.”

[+] BLACKPINK Feat. Selena Gomez – Ice Cream 

Heavy-hitters BLACKPINK have teamed up with pop princess Selena Gomez on a cooling track perfect to cap off summer, “Ice Cream.” A playful and upbeat pop single, the collaboration brings about a fun and lighthearted song perfect for dancing it out in the summers heat.
