16 HOTTEST SPRING & SUMMER SNEAKERS RIGHT NOW

April showers bring some baller May sneakers. It’s time to update the rotation with some whites, colors and OG silhouettes. Here are 16 Spring sneakers we want on our feet until the winter.

[1] Nike M2K Tekno

The much-discussed Nike M2K Tekno releases today (for women only). Despite what Kanye West says, Nike modernized their cult-classic Monarch silhouette to bring us the chunky, dad-friendly, M2K Tekno. The M2K comes in two colorways. The first is an all-white leather upper with a crimson/orange accent on the heel and a chunky white midsole with black and gray accents. The second has a black leather upper with a neon yellow accent and a chunky white midsole. Baby Yeezus, cried on Twitter that Nike took too much inspiration from his Yeezy 700. However, fans of Nike quickly pointed out that Nike’s Monarch came first, and perhaps Yeezy took too much inspiration from Nike. West later deleted his tweet. Unlike Yeezy’s, this Nike silhouette retails for $100, which seems like a steal when you look at the prices of Yeezy’s. We applaud Nike for putting women first. Expect these to be released in men’s sizes on July 1st at nike.com.

[2] Air Jordan 1 “Best Hand In The Game” Clay Green

Honoring Michael Jordan’s most significant career achievements the Air Jordan 1 Best Hand in the Game Collection, combines soft suede and leather. Here is a Shoe Surgeon-like Air Jordan 1 that is available for $160. Each of the four colorways represents a unique milestone in Michael Jordan’s historic career. The Clay Green colorway represents MJ’s full house of accomplishments: Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Championships and Hall of Fame induction. These are available starting May 1st at nike.com.

[3] Highs And Lows & Le Coq Sportif “Cygnet” R-1000

Spring is finally here and that means it is okay to wear white sneakers again. We are really digging Le Coq’s newest colorway which they partnered with Australia-based Highs and Lows. The salmon-colored toe is coupled with premium suede and a gray/white midfoot and heal. You can find them at Highs and Lows for $200 AUD/ $150 USD.

[4] Nike LeBron 15 “Bright Crimson”

For anyone who was still on the fence, LeBron is proving he is the greatest of all time. The dude is single-handedly advancing his team further into the playoffs. It’s LeBron vs. everyone else. We have always been more in the camp that no one can compete with Michael Jordan. Now we feel differently. The same goes for Nike’s LeBron line. At first, we thought, no one can hold a candle to Jordans. However, this latest by Nike LeBron is pretty baller. The mostly black Flyknit upper is met with bright crimson accents that seem to go so well with the white air midsole. LeBron is the greatest, and these LeBron 15s are some of the greatest new releases we have seen so far this Spring.  You can find these starting May 3rd at Nike Basketball for $185.

[5] Adidas Deerupt

The slim-nosed, extremely light, Deerupt continues to releases numerous color ways. At first these sneakers remind me of what it must be like when fish get stuck in those plastic holders that connect your six pack. However, the netting brings a new dynamic to a silhouette that at best is boring. Say anything you want about these, but boring is not one. As of today there are 9 color ways to choose from.  You can find them for $100 at adidas.com.

[6] Nike Air Max ‘Marble Dye’

April showers bring May crazy-marbled sneakers for those of us who prefer psychedelic vibes. The eye-catching, floral-inspired marble-dyed panels featured on the classic Air Max black toe box, and neoprene tongue makes us smile. These are dropping in women’s sizes first, and we hope and expect men’s will follow. Keep an eye on these at nike.com.

[7] Porter x Adidas Originals Campus

This new release is part of a more extensive capsule collection between Porter and Adidas Originals. The reworked Campus sneakers come in PORTER’s iconic black and orange colorway and use the Japanese labels signature Tanker material on the toebox and tongue. We also really dig the touch of blue on the tongue. You can find these at adidas.com starting May 3rd.

[8] Bodega x New Balance Boston-Themeed 998 “Mass Transit”

Even being New Yorkers, we can appreciate when brands want to pay tribute to another city. Bodega and New Balance partner up to pay homage to Boston’s public transpiration system. The colors on this fire collaboration represent the different train lines that operate throughout Beantown. We also appreciate anything Boston related that does NOT feature the Red Sox or The Patriots. #Justsayin. These are available on Bodega’s Webstore.

[9] Asics Tiger Gel-Lyte V  Red/White/Blue

If you keep up with us, you know we are massive fans of GEL-Lyte V’s. For all the talk about Nike and adidas’s new technology, Asics was there first. The low-top silhouette with a lightweight feel is genuinely unrivaled with comes to comfort and athletic needs. Too often sneaker companies abandon the need for stability when designing a comfortable shoe. Not Asics. In fact, we got this pair on right now, and we’re feeling pretty awesome. You can find these as Asics Tiger for $110.

[10] adidas AM4NYC

adidas has launched a New York City-inspired AM4NYC sneaker (finally!) Before this, adidas began their city commemorative renditions by honoring Los Angeles, London, and Paris. We feel New York should have come first, hence why we have put it down at ten on this list. The AM4NYC is aimed at active city walkers. This minimal weight, comfortable sneakers at the perfect cross-trainer for those who walk everywhere, including to the gym. You can find them at adidas.com for $200.

[11] Skepta x Nike

New images emerged of Skepta’s second collaboration with the swoosh brand. The latest fuses together two class Air Max silhouettes, Air Max Classic BW and Air Max 97. What you get, is a super sleek and fresh silhouette that uses the classic Nike red and blue. Look for these to drop soon at Skepta.

[12] Walk of Shame x Reebok Club C 85

Moscow’s Andrey Artyomov’s Walk of Shame has updated the retro Reebok Club C85 with a beige colorway that reportedly was inspired by David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. We are not entirely sure where Twin Peaks comes into play, but these are pretty dope. The Cyrillic text also makes this sneaker super topical. You can find these over at Atmos.

[13] Filling Pieces Low Fade Cosmo Mix

Filling Pieces continues to make a name for itself. The customer designed shoes use some of the softest and nicest leather. These kicks will set you back a pretty penny but they will probably last you forever. You can find them at Kith for $330.

[14] Nike Grandstand II

The Nike Grandstand II’s dropped 25 years ago and still they work and work well. These OG’s are priced at $85 and are the perfect spring/summer sneakers. You can find them at Mr. Porter.

[15] adidas Originals Samba

Another OG kick that refuses to go our of style is the adidas Originals Samba. These are so iconic. So damn cool and retails for $70. There is no reason not to have these in your rotation. You can find them over at adidas.

[16]  Dwayne Wade x Li-Ning Essence

Wade is very quietly building an eclectic sneaker brand in sports with Li-Ning. Li-Ning has been accused of taking a “too much” inspiration from Yeezy and Nike, and this newest silhouette is no exception. Essence looks a whole lot like Nike’s Virgil Abloh Off-White collaborations. With that said, they look pretty dope and deserve a spot on this list.  There is no indication of when these will be released. Keep a lookout throughout the Spring/Summer at Li-Ning.
