ACID DAD IS HERE TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Imagine if you will, the show is a hot date and (le) poisson rouge is the lady of the night. Now picture the Winstons picking her up, the Yin Yangs choosing the restaurant, Ron Gallo taking her to the movies, and Acid Dad bringing her home for the ole… you know. It’s that thing, that thing I’m saying without the 4-letter words, that Acid Dad did to the ears of everyone in the building. And yes, it was everything we thought it would be.

THURSDAY 04/28/16 – NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Not far removed from their performance at SXSW 2016, Acid Dad continued that momentum and reminded fans of why they had come out in the first place. Playing from a smoky, dimly-lit LPR stage, the sound and the mood brought by the band was anything but. Running through a list that included “Get Off the Wall,” “Fool’s Gold,” and “Shut U Down,” the crowd was incited, and seemingly invited, to thrash about.

By the third selection, Acid Dad found themselves performing in front of a section who had begun kicking, punching, and throwing things (themselves), because the feeling and the message resonated with its listeners. The people (follow me here) were given the liberty to do as they pleased. So, with all things being equal, in consideration of gatherings of like-minded people taking place across the U.S., I think it’s not a great leap to say that being the influencers they are, Acid Dad is here to Make America Great Again.
