Today’s featured artist Jeb Maykut works out of another one of our favorite shops, Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Like many tattoo artists who truly care about their craft, Jeb is very skilled with color as well as black and grey work. His color work is very bold and pops as he uses a lot of contrasting and complimentary (or just a bit off complimentary) tones. Of course this doesn’t mean he is just throwing colors together, they all work together harmoniously to create a highly impactful piece.

He is great at both traditional American and Japanese, but I really appreciate and enjoy his classic tattoo-art style. The few examples of his work in the gallery below are of course amazing, but do yourself a favor an check out his Instagram account where you can see a lot more from Jeb!
