Obie Trice made a name for himself in the underground Detroit rap scene, battling at notable spots like the Hip Hop Shop which was hosted by Proof, from D12 (Dirty Dozen). For those of you who don’t know about D12; basically it was a mega rap group consisting of six members, of which each one had their own alter ego, hence the name Dirty Dozen. One of those members being Eminem, signed Obie to Shady Records, and from there it is all history!
What I like most about Obie is his delivery and flow. I enjoy almost every track he puts out, so I suggest you check out his new single “Good Girls” off his upcoming album The Hangover, which will be released on August 7th 2015.
