What is a band without their songs? It’s amazing how every band has their own unique creative process when it comes to song writing. Having been in a band myself, I can say that the process can be rewarding and be extremely difficult at the same time. With all the different personalities and opinions coming together, there are bound to be some disagreements. It is definitely a good thing to voice your opinion, but perhaps the most important thing you can do is to listen to each other. In Story VII, Palmas discuss how an idea or a riff develop into a complete song and how they learned to trust and listen to one another, putting the self aside for the greater good of the group.
Everyone’s in it for the same purpose. So you just have to realize that everyone wants what’s best for the band.
