CARE MORE ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON

Stop Light Observations (SLO) had a busy week at SXSW promoting their ongoing series of digital 45s titled The Volume.

On Volume II the band gets spiritual, exploring the question of how did we get here?

Although the 2 songs on this volume (“h d w g h ?” and “VANDERLIGHT”) are not necessarily meant to be political in nature, it does mirror a thought on many people’s minds regarding the current political landscape.

How did we get here?

While no one can change the past, everyone can have a part in changing the future.

One way to do that is to vote. SLO suggests that voting day should be a national holiday. It is surprising how modern technology has made everything in life much easier, but getting to the polls can be very difficult.

Inspired by National Walkout Day, SLO urges young people to care more about what is going on around them and take action.
