TAKING BACK SUNDAY’S CO-HEADLINING TOUR WITH COHEED AND CAMBRIA
âThere is no other precious gift you can give besides your timeâ â Adam Lazzara
Taking Back Sundayâs Adam Lazzara has grown up quite a bit since the emo days of the early 2000âs. Lazzara hasnât quite fully traded in the rock and roll lifestyle but has done a great job balancing music, life and his family.
Taking Back Sunday hit the road July 6, 2018 with Coheed & Cambira for a massive co-headlining summer tour with 27+ dates in cities all across North America. We had a packed show this past Friday night at Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh, NC with over 4,000+ in attendance. These two bands set the stage for the perfect mix of good vibes, warm weather, and some serious rock music.
Taking Back Sunday opened up with âWhatâs It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?â and âError: Operatorâ off the 2006 album Louder Now. Following that with âTimberwolves At New Jerseyâ off the 2001 album Tell All Your Friends released on Victory Records.
Taking Back Sundaysâ front man Adam Lazzara is no stranger to Raleigh, NC. Lazzara grew up 100 miles west of Raleigh in High Point, NC âthatâs where my family moved from Alabamaâ and âI lived there. I went to Southwest Guilford Elementary school, Middle school and High school.â
âFor us to come here and to play for all you people⊠weather you know us or not⊠whether you like us or not. Just the fact that you are here⊠Thank you so much. This is incredibleâ said Lazzara.
The band played several new songs off the sixth and seventh studio albums: Happiness and Tidal Wave including âBetter Homes and Gardensâ, âFlicker Fadeâ and âYou Canât Look Backâ.
Taking Back Sunday wasnât afraid to get the crowd singing during the bridge of âCute Without the âEâ (Cut From the Team)â. Finishing up with an driving performance of âTidal Waveâ and then finally closing out with a heartful serenade of âMakeDamnSureâ left the crowd fully satisfied.
