TAKING BACK SUNDAY’S CO-HEADLINING TOUR WITH COHEED AND CAMBRIA

“There is no other precious gift you can give besides your time” – Adam Lazzara

Taking Back Sunday’s Adam Lazzara has grown up quite a bit since the emo days of the early 2000’s. Lazzara hasn’t quite fully traded in the rock and roll lifestyle but has done a great job balancing music, life and his family.

Taking Back Sunday hit the road July 6, 2018 with Coheed & Cambira for a massive co-headlining summer tour with 27+ dates in cities all across North America. We had a packed show this past Friday night at Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh, NC with over 4,000+ in attendance. These two bands set the stage for the perfect mix of good vibes, warm weather, and some serious rock music.

Taking Back Sunday opened up with “What’s It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?” and “Error: Operator” off the 2006 album Louder Now. Following that with “Timberwolves At New Jersey” off the 2001 album Tell All Your Friends released on Victory Records.

Taking Back Sundays’ front man Adam Lazzara is no stranger to Raleigh, NC. Lazzara grew up 100 miles west of Raleigh in High Point, NC “that’s where my family moved from Alabama” and “I lived there. I went to Southwest Guilford Elementary school, Middle school and High school.”

“For us to come here and to play for all you people… weather you know us or not… whether you like us or not. Just the fact that you are here… Thank you so much. This is incredible” said Lazzara.

The band played several new songs off the sixth and seventh studio albums: Happiness and Tidal Wave including “Better Homes and Gardens”, “Flicker Fade” and “You Can’t Look Back”.

Taking Back Sunday wasn’t afraid to get the crowd singing during the bridge of “Cute Without the “E” (Cut From the Team)”. Finishing up with an driving performance of “Tidal Wave” and then finally closing out with a heartful serenade of “MakeDamnSure” left the crowd fully satisfied.

It’s safe to say if Taking Back Sunday plays a show in North Carolina you don’t want to miss out.

Taking Back Sunday and Coheed and Cambria’s Tour continues through the summer wrapping up on August 12, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ
