Method Man is back on the scene with a sick track called “Straight Gutta” from his upcoming album the The Meth Lab, featuring tag team partner Redman and fellow Staten Island MCs slash Wu-Tang Clan affiliates Hanz On and Streetlife. I have been a big fan of Method Man ever since Wu-Tang’s debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), which was the first rap album I ever purchased, so I am glad to hear an artist that I grew up on put out a record today that is rooted in classic hip-hop. Each artist delivers a killer verse with great lyrical wordplay, with method man topping off the track with a sweet verse like icing on the cake.
