In some ways I think a designer is the ultimate artist. Well, all artists are designers of some sort with a specific discipline of expertise. Whether it’s a painting or a sculpture, art and design are all about where things are placed relative to something else using different shapes, sizes, materials and colors. Blaine Fontana can not only design whatever he wants but create them as well.
Blaine is a jack of all trades and a master of all. Just look at the gallery below and see the variety of mediums he uses. From sculptures, paintings, installations and graphic design to mural work, he can literally do everything astoundingly well. Usually, “artists” create their art and showcase them whereas a “designer” is hired to create something. Blaine does both and it must be very fulfilling to be able to create what you want but also create what people ask. He can hold a solo exhibition one day, then be hired to creatively brand a company or commissioned to paint a mural.
With plenty of experience behind him Blaine now runs his own multi-media design company Fontana Studios. He has done work for tons of high profile clients as well as showcased his art around the country. Be sure to check out his website for more of his work, because the amount of various projects he completes on a regular basis really inspiring!
