ARTISTS TO WATCH AT FIREFLY 2019
The time is upon us where the highly anticipated Firefly Music Festival will be kicking off this Friday! A star-studded line up is coming to take over Dover, DE this weekend and if you are not in attendance you are definitely missing out. This will be my first year attending Firefly and I’m here to let you all know who I cant wait to see. Here is who I have on repeat this week!
[+] Tyler The Creator
I’m going to start off with one of Fridays headliners and who I am most excited to see this weekend. Tyler is on a high right now from the last month release of his fifth studio album “Igor”. A self-produced album, Igor is filled with melodic synths and personal lyrics describing the journey of falling in and losing love. In usual Tyler fashion I expect nothing short of an energetic performance draped in a neon suit and blonde wig.
[+] Gus Dapperton
With smooth rhythms, deep bass, and relatable lyrics Gus will put you in the mood to dance…. and maybe remember your crush from that one summer years ago.
[+] Yungblud
An up and coming alternative rock artist from from England, Yungblud performers with great energy and love. Recently working with artists like Halsey and MGK, Yungblud has been producing hit after hit. A definite “do not miss” artist for the weekend.
[+] Brockhampton
Does anyone know how many people are really in Brockhampton? this is not your average boy band, this is a collective of musicians, singers, producers, and photographers. Brockhampton has been buzzing in the music industry over the last few years after the release of their three albums “Saturation 1,2,3” and their latest album “Iridescence” . A true mix of hip-hop, r&b, and rock these boys are sure to end up in your favorites if you have never heard them before.
I could keep going on about the line up and each artist. Some need no introductions such as Panic! at the Disco, Travis Scott, Kygo, Post Malone, Death Cab for Cutie, and more. Firefly has artists for you no matter what genre of music you are into. Love hip-hop? mosh with $uicideBoy$ or rock with Lil Mosey and Gucci Mane.
