L.A. BASED AUSTRALIAN SINGER + GUITARIST TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM ‘THE SUNDOG’ LP AVAILABLE JUNE 12
Photo By Pooneh GhanaLos Angeles-based Australian singer and guitarist Gab Winterfield (Jagwar Ma) has announced new project Golf Alpha Bravo and has shared his latest video “Stuck Being Me.” The track is the most recent release from his forthcoming debut album The Sundog LP which anticipates its release on June 12 via his own Treasured Recordings label.
The video, directed by Pooneh Ghana, was filmed in Los Angeles on his birthday. The singer shares “I’ve always been inspired by the home videos of days gone by: real light burnt on to real film with the grainy effects feeling like silent films, moving portraits,” notes Gab. “The video feels as raw and unencumbered as the track itself.” Pooneh adds, “I had originally gone to meet Gab to shoot stills for the album and the light was just so beautiful. I always keep my trusty super 8 with me, just in case, and I’m so glad I did.”

Uncovering a new authenticity, Golf Alpha Bravo moves into Gab’s final form. With prior released singles including a very vibey “Unwind,” more bouncy “Groove Baby Groove” and defiant “Blue Wave,” all which will be featured on The Sundog LP, has showcased Winterfield’s sonic versatility that have earned him major support tours in Australia.
The Sundog LP will feature 11-tracks that throughout are fueled with his unique brand of Surf Blues–a siren to a childhood of growing up on the coast of Sydney Australia: an eternal loop of surf, skate, Frusciante and Hendrix… and the occasional Mario Kart tournament.
“The record moves between looking inward and outward, desire and respite,” notes Gab. “I wanted to make something warm that grooves, something that’s deep enough to sink into, and bouncy enough to bop to. An epic journey from the comfort of your lounge, or the soundtrack to a long summer drive.”
The Sundog LP will be available digitally and a very limited edition signed, hand pressed 12″ vinyl featuring marble-trans blue vinyl is currently available for purchase.
