ARTISTS WHO NEVER FALL SHORT… THEN THE OTHER 2
Words & Photos by Brittany NO FOMO
Some people never cease to amaze me. Usually their impressive nature falls under the world of artistry and more specifically… the art of performing their heart out. Luckily, Meadows Music Festival in Queens this past weekend hosted those that surely wow with their musical ability.
Of course there was the curveballs of Action Bronson not giving a shit and literally saying, “I forgot the words” over some of his(?) tracks. Then there was Ghostface Killah who didn’t give two fucks as he asked someone else to DJ past TV show tunes back to back, including those from Friends and Cheers, followed by the literal “meows” from a Meow Mix commercial (that I’m sure don’t want to be associated). I’m not lying. It was the worst twenty minutes of sounds I’ve heard from a distance, and that distance was still too close. This jumble of random show songs could have easily went on for his entire set, but thankfully, real musicians came to the rescue!
Regardless of some artists not understanding how to value the opportunity of a main stage at a festival… we were in for a treat with the following brilliant talent who ALWAYS put on a solid performance.
The artists who define rock n’ roll, indie rock, and heavy bass music…
