REALIST PAINTER CHRIS LEIB TALKS TO SAVVY PAINTER
Savvy Painter is a really great podcast started by artist Antrese Wood full of insightful and intriguing interviews with amazing artists. She recently sat down with realist painter Chris Leib where he discussed his journey as an artist in great detail. He was not an art major but an anthropology major who answered an ad for a company that wanted people’s doodles. This actually became Chris’ first art job! Chris also talks about an explosion and fire that left him without a studio or home, but how he turned that into something positive.
Chris also mentions how he lived out of his car for a while to save up for art school, and his career is just proof that one of the most important things for success is to not stop no matter what. Sometimes we only pay attention to the art itself but the real inspiration is often hidden within the story of the artists themselves.
