[STORY VI] RICH GIRLS

IDENTITY

Luisa Black of Rich Girls began to tell me the story of how she entered quite possibly the worst years of her life after her former band The Blacks broke up somewhat unexpectedly. She was no longer playing in a band which meant that she was no longer a musician…. but then, who is she? I really connected with this story since I was in a similar situation. My world revolved around my band for a long period of time, so when it fell apart I didn’t know what to do with myself. My identity was stripped, and it took me years before I found it again in photography. Behind the backdrop of their song “Loaded” off of their latest EP Love Is The Dealer, this piece is for all the lifers out there who never stop doing what they love to do.
