Marc Nava is today’s Ink Pics feature who works out out of Portland City Tattoo in Costa Mesa California, but I first came across this amazing artist when he was still at Davinci Tattoo in Long Island, NY.

Marc does solid fundamental flash style traditional work that uses a surreal color scheme to create an interesting perspective on classic imagery. Only an artist with a true understanding of their craft like Marc, can create a purple cobra surrounded by a bluish-green flame that is unconventional in a sense, but when designed properly brings the piece together in a cohesive stylistic manner. When looking at Marc’s portfolio, I feel as if each piece has a real soul taking on a lifeform of it’s own, which most likely resonates with the client and is an extension of their personality.
