X AMBASSADORS ARE FEELING VERY JOYFUL ON THEIR NEW TOUR

X Ambassadors

Over the weekend, I had the chance to catch the X Ambassadors kick off their spring 2018 tour, The JOYFUL Tour, and it was nothing short of just that. Sam Harris, lead vocalist, was a man of many talents as he rocked the stage at The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina. Sam also showcased a wide variety of musical talents including: signing, playing the guitar and even jumping on saxophone for a few songs. The vibe was very much on point and I felt a very uplifted throughout the night.

Opening with one of their biggest songs, “Unsteady,” you immediately knew you were in for a good night. Sam Harris was joined on stage by his brother Casey Harris on the keys and Adam Levin on the drums as well as three part all-female choir backing up vocals which produced a gospel-like sound which I enjoyed very much. Opening support included Son Little and The Aces.

Sam Harris was very talkative with the audience for most of the night. In-between songs Sam made it a point to speak up against any and all forms of discrimination including discrimination based on gender, race, sexual orientation while also encouraging everyone to find their own unique self-identity and to be happy with it. Sam asked us to celebrate the differences and to “Never ever be afraid to be who you are.”

Attendees were treated to notable songs like “Renegades”, “Gorgeous” and “Jungle” as well as one of their new singles “Joyful” which is the self-titled track off their fourth studio album JOYFUL which which is set to release anytime soon. The record will be available in digital formats as well as on CD and vinyl. You can pre-order the new album here.
